voco Dubai The Palm is conveniently located on the trunk of the manmade island while being part of the newly launched “Palm West Beach”, a trendy and vibrant spot with an array of exceptional dining concepts. The 141 keys property is scheduled to open its doors to guests in late 2022.

Your day to day

As Head Chef you’ll direct all kitchen activities and prepare our delicious food – helping create memorable experiences for guests – whenever and wherever they dine.

  • Lead the Culinary Team and set-up all operational processes, ensuring voco F&B standards are successfully implemented
  • Direct daily kitchen activities, plan and assign work ensuring you always have the right staffing numbers
  • Develop your team and improve their performance through coaching and feedback, and create performance and development goals for colleagues – recognize good performance
  • Ensure that all kitchen equipment and environment are hygienic and working properly
  • Always follow governmental regulations and company policies and procedures
  • Keep an eye on competitor activity / industry innovation. Create and implement menu design and concepts
  • Complete forecasts, plans, and departmental production reports for management
  • Help prepare the hotel’s annual budget and the setting of departmental goals
  • Maintain costing and documentation of all dishes prepared and sold from the kitchen

What we need from you

  • Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in Hotel Management, Culinary Arts, or related field
  • 4+ years’ related experience, including management experience
  • Experience in European & Mediterranean cuisines is a must
  • Highly motivated with a strong ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Have a vibrant personality and drive to bring the voco brand to life
