Hotel Job Descriptions

Receptionist

A receptionist is someone who greets guests and helps them with their needs at a hotel. Receptionists are usually responsible for arranging rooms, checking in guests, and providing information about the hotel. They may also be in charge of issuing room keys and handling any requests that guests may have. A receptionist’s duties can vary depending on the size of the hotel, but many receptionists are required to have a good sense of customer service.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Accepts reservations, collects payments, and keeps track of guest information
  • Answers general questions about hotel, law, and rules
  • Keeps track of guests’ arrival and departure times
  • Maintains and restocks room supplies
  • Ensures there is appropriate staffing and security
  • Performs other duties as requested

Qualification and Experience:

The qualification and experience required to become a hotel receptionist is generally a high school diploma or equivalent, and relevant work experience as a customer service agent. Experience in hotels is preferred.

Salary and Benefits:

Driver

The driver is a very important job and it requires a lot of skills. It’s not just about driving, but also being able to navigate through city streets, stay alert while on the road, and know how to handle different situations. They need to be aware of their surroundings at all times and be able to react quickly in case something goes wrong.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains cleanliness of the property and grounds
  • Performs daily maintenance tasks
  • Follows safety procedures and ensures the safety of all personnel and visitors on the property
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations
  • Maintains a safe working environment

Qualification and Experience:

To have a qualification of a Diploma or Higher. To have years of driving experience with a valid driving license. Knowledge of UAE road signs and maps is a must.

Salary and Benefits:

Your salary will depend on where you work and what hotel group you’re employed by. The industry standard for salary for a driver is about AED 3000 to AED 3200 per month plus benefits.

Housekeeping Supervisor

Housekeeping supervisors are responsible for ensuring a clean and organized work environment within the confines of their department or office. Supervisors must have excellent organizational skills, be able to multi-task and have a deep understanding of housekeeping procedures and cleaning products.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for the general operations of the housekeeping department including but not limited to:

  • Maintaining a clean and orderly work environment
  • Providing direction and assistance to the Housekeeping staff
  • Assisting with the recruitment, training, and scheduling of Housekeeping staff
  • Maintaining inventory and ordering housekeeping supplies
  • Locking up all departmental property at the end of the day

Qualification and Experience:

Successful candidates must hold a high school diploma and have a minimum of one year’s experience working in hotels as a housekeeping supervisor.
