POSITION OBJECTIVE

The Inventory Controller is responsible to effectively plan and control inventory at the location level to ensure there is minimum stock losses. Ensure the company’s commitment to be in stock on key items and ensure correct store quantities.

DO — Key Responsibilities

1. HALF YEARLY & PERPETUAL STOCKTAKE

  • Schedule Stores for half yearly stock take for CP & standalone stores, co-ordination with CP retail and finance to finalize the CP stock take calendar and finalize the manpower requirement
  • Manpower arrangement for standalone stores- External manpower arrangement for stock take- Discuss the schedule/finalize with external vendor
  • BIN Barcode Upload in SIM, Printout bin for each store, BIN delivery to stores
  • Pre stock take visit 15 days, 7 days and 1 day before stock take.
  • Generate variance report, analysis of variance and share the report with stores for further analysis
  • Follow up with stores for shrinkage summary signoff and action plan from CP/AM/Store Managers

2.INVENTORY MANAGEMENT

  • Review all inward discrepancy & investigate into the discrepancies
  • Review of all Damages upon Delivery either from warehouse to store or back to warehouse
  • Regularly review the SOP on Expiry and ensure all stores adhere to the expiry SOP
  • To coordinate with stores & quality team in Identifying all stocks with quality defects & timely recall & communicating the same to Concept Buying team
  • Daily monitoring the GIT for Stores & warehouse and timely closure of GIT in SIM & WMS
  • Ensure the ageing analysis for all brands are reviewed and analysed.
  • Clear damages in stores and warehouse periodically with the respective reason codes.
  • Ensuring Testers Management is followed as per SOP and make necessary adjustments once testers are utilized.
  • Shortages and damages received, to be recorded in 24hrs and documentation completed within 48hours
  • Monthly warehouse visit to ensure stocks in troubled locations have proper reasons and verification of damages
  • Ensuring expiry receiving is within the threshold limit by the concept team.

3.BOE & SHRINKAGE AUDIT

  • Quarterly BOE Audits of all Standalone stores – Ensuring stores get satisfactory rating
  • Quarterly Process compliance audit for all CP stores
  • Monitor POS abnormal transactions and investigate the root cause for any Fraud

4. OTHER ACTIVITIES

  • Weekly RESA reconciliation and ensuring all open items are properly knocked off
  • Identifying areas of concerns and making an SOP for seamless execution by all stakeholders
  • Ensuring all virtual locations are properly monitored and have been cleared with proper approvals
  • Assisting Retail & Finance in clearing ageing stocks in terms of proper reporting and ensuring the same is properly segregated by store team before the stocks are written off or cleared from 3rd party location
  • Ensuring to circulate monthly Stock Adjustment report after due approvals from Finance
  • Analysing negative inventory and ensure a plan of action is taken along with Retail Ops & Planning team
