Jacobs is looking for a talented Operations Lead to join our Cities & Places team in Dubai. You will have the opportunity to work alongside the senior management team, to ensure corporate policies, commitments, and initiatives across the business are implemented and successful in meeting programmatic objectives. As an Operations Lead, you will have autonomy over in developing strategic and operational plans to achieve organizational goals alongside forecasting what future resources might be needed. You will be responsible for managing senior level, an integrated project team including and interface with other stakeholders.

Be part of a world class developments and make a major contribution to iconic projects. Make a difference in the Operations Management function on Urban & Masterplanning, Buildings and Hotels enabling us to offer our clients truly comprehensive solutions for some of the challenges they are facing.

In addition to this, your duties will be the following

  • Promote best practice and lead, support & develop project team.
  • Issue timely & accurately communicating project performance, issues / concerns, & risks through the required reporting mechanisms.
  • Facilitate budget monitoring & commercial awareness.
  • Ensure relevant project risks are identified & managed / mitigated as appropriate.
  • Ensure no significant changes are enacted until approved & the required change control is initiated when significant changes to project scope, schedule or cost are identified.
  • Engage & communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
  • Work closely with Leadership to establish an approach for developing/sustaining client relationships and identify capabilities to meet current and future client requirements.
  • Contribute to the City & Places management team and make recommendations on key strategic issues.
  • Develop opportunities with new clients through prior relationships, partnering with client sales organizations, and networking in the industry.
  • Be accountable for successful operations of all projects deployed on, including profitability, scope growth, corporate compliance, problem resolution and achieving client goals.
  • Provide leadership in the development and implementation of policies and practices for the purpose of continuously improving operational performance.
  • Manage a variety of project delivery methods and coordinate the use of resources to win work and deliver projects.

Here’s What You’ll Need

As a successful candidate you will have a BS or MS degree from a recognized university with hands-on experience in Operations and Project Delivery. You will have a strong track record of delivering projects within a technically complex and dynamic environment alongside the ability to successfully engage stakeholders and clients.

You will have excellent communication and organizational skills, and strong numerical and analytical skills. It is important that you are a peoples person- Able to understand and deploy the required skills to manage a diverse team in the constant changing environment of the building industry.
