Job Purpose:

The Transformation Manager will be responsible to manage end-to-end transformation and improvement projects in the EB (Employee Benefits) vertical for the system, process-related and business initiatives – from initiation to go-live. To understand the business challenge at hand, act as a focal point to other teams to coordinate and facilitate requirement gathering and lead the business initiatives that require transversal leadership. To strive to implement the best process practices to achieve service excellence and work on projects to bridge the gaps from the current state to the desired state.

Responsibilities

  • Be the focal point of contact for the EB teams for new projects & initiatives
  • Analyze candidate projects to identify the ideas that are best aligned with the EB organization’s strategic objectives
  • Delivering wide-scale, complex and transversal transformative projects
  • Identify opportunities to implement changes based on the market best practices
  • To clearly identify the stakeholders and support both in terms of expectations and execution

Technical & Operational management:

  • Facilitate and standardize project selection and prioritization
  • Ensure that the project documentation and requirements are collected and agreed
  • Prepare the project charters defining the timelines, actions, and milestones
  • Engage with key stakeholders at all levels and influence change and create buy-in and support
  • Define and execute the change management aspects of projects and initiatives
  • Get involved in execution, delivery, and tracking of each project
  • Communicate the status of milestones and deliverables across the portfolio
  • Work to ensure that the projects stay on track
  • For IT related initiatives, support on the coordination of the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by the teams, and facilitate the sign-off
  • Ensure that there is an ongoing risk assessment and mitigation across all projects
  • Identify potential project impacts on business teams, other systems, data, and customer. To propose and implement mitigations/solutions for the impact to ensure smooth project delivery.

Team management & Work area management:

  • Direct line management responsibilities – lead by example, set objectives, standards and procedures, coach and mentor team members.
  • Actively communicate and promote the work of the Infrastructure Team within and beyond the IT Team.
  • Management of and co-ordination with in-house and third party resources, prioritizing workload, tracking resource utilization.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and new vendors/suppliers.
  • Maintain contracts and department budget.
  • Ensure team manages the execution of infrastructure changes in compliance with given guidelines and procedures.

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 5 years of experience in project management in the insurance industry
  • Ability to manage stakeholders and relationships between multiple teams
  • Ability to facilitate discussions, and run effective meetings to drive outcomes and agreed actions
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to distill complex information to be easily digestible for a variety of audiences
  • Ability to interpret data, and analyzing results using statistical techniques
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with ability to plan ahead
